San Jose Koop Passed the Non-Life Insurance Course

by Mr. Rudolf Z. Gado, Assistant Marketing Officer

San Jose Koop is the Cooperative Assurance Center (CAC) of CLIMBS Life and General Insurance Cooperative we are required to secure a license issued by the Insurance Commission.

Last January 19-23, 2015, Cooperative Life Insurance and Mutual Benefits Services(CLIMBS) sponsored me as the delegate from San Jose Koop to enroll the Basic Non- Life Insurance Course held at Anfa Hotel Batangas City conducted by InsuranceInstitute for Asia and the Pacific, Inc.

27 delegates from different insurance companies studied the course for the Licensure Exam. The content of the course is all about the Historical Background of the Insurance from the Code of Hammurabi, Lloyds of London and the evolution of the insurance here in the Philippines; the 6 general insurance principles; and the different types of insurance for non-life products.

During the session they taught us the different forms, contracts and insurance policies. Claims and re-insurance are also discussed. Every afternoon, our instructor gives us short tests and recitations to prepare us for the Insurance Licensure Exam.

On the 24thday of January, 2015 after the hardships, all enrollees faced the final battle. Fortunately, after few months the result was sent to CLIMBS and luckily I passed the examination.

This day forward, we can say that San Jose Koop is now legally a Cooperative Assurance Center (CAC) because of the license certificate that we have. Kudos! San Jose Del Monte Savings and Credit Cooperative (SJDMSCC), for all the achievements that God continuously provided upon you. To God be the Glory.
