San Jose Koop School Bags Distribution for Indigent Pupils

by Richard E. Avena

bagdistribution

30 May 2017 – San Jose Koop, in coordination with the Barangay Council of Brgy. Tungkong Mangga, headed by Punong Barangay Bernardo S. Medina, distributed 200 school bags with rain coat and slippers for 200 indigent pupils of Sitio San Isidro, Brgy. Tungkong Mangga.  The said activity is in preparation for the opening of the school year and the ushering in of the rainy seasons.  Sitio San Isidro is among those areas in the City of San Jose del Monte where many indigent children need assistance for their primary education.  They also need to walk for more than 2 kilometers going to Tungkong Mangga Elementary School, thus, sturdy slippers were given to them. This annual activity of San Jose Koop is coordinated with different selected barangays, wherein priority is given to those barangay councils who patronize the services of San Jose Koop and whose numbers of indigent families in the community are high.  We continue to support our partner-barangays and our members and the community in every way we can.
